The Developing Country Network mission statement:
We envisage this to be a network of Upper Valley people active in developing countries whose work is motivated by a commitment to social justice. Its aim is to create an online database which lets members know who is doing what and where, so that members with common interests can communicate directly with each other.
It is not intended - at least at present - to act as a fundraiser, or a source of funds or other assistance to members' projects or programs, or to become a formally structured organization with an office or paid staff. Rather, its purpose is to help members with common interests to talk to each other and undertake whatever activities they believe would serve their common interests. "
As the Network evolves, and broadens its impact, its purpose will be seen differently by each of us. Please let us know how the Network might be most useful to the work you seek to do and your perspective will be added here.
